no one is making it out of this world alive

Here's some fun color stuff...
The one to the right was an old poster of tarek's dad fighting a bull in Spain.

The rest is self explanatory, I guess.

The bottom two are some of the last tattoos done at Port Side... RIP

slow to post

Here's some black and gray type stuff I've done over the past year or so.  Starting with Rob's back, where there is a big ol' cover up towards the bottom.

We got done with Adam's back in like crazy record time... he sat for long hours and like a champ for what, so far, is his only tattoo.
rene's family with a little art nouveau inspiration

mike's gals above his chest... wish I a had a little better picture.
...I got to really get on this postin' stuff.

PS: Workin' at SETCO seems to be rocking pretty swell so far.  The guys are awesome and much more my type of tattooers.  The locale is pretty mellow, but not really off the beaten path as one would think.  I can get a good coffee, an all day breakfast, a nice authentic torta, a damn good vietnamese sub, groceries, pho, amazing singapore style jerky, or too many energy drinks all within a two minute's walk.
But I am sorry for any emails that I am super slow at replying to.  Please bare with me a bit.  I gotta do a lot more hustling since Steph was so good at scheduling and dealing with clients for me before.   Gotta love a good manager.

don't be a stranger

So to my West End buddies and clientele, it pains me a bit that after 5 years (to the day) I will be leaving the hood.  But SETCO isn't that far away.  It's 3377 Fraser.  Basically 4 blocks east of 17th & Main at Fraser & Kingsway.  Everyone knows how you like to hit the restaurants on Main Street.  And it's like one bus from the West End, the 19 from Denman & Georgia (25 minutes)... or take the Skytrain or the C23 up Davie to the Main/Terminal station and then take the bus, 19 or 8, heading up Kingsway... super fast.   Check the Translink if you get stumped.

Or it's like a 20 minute bike ride going along the seawall.  At least it is from Stanley Park... so it may be faster from where you are.  It is a pretty long walk, though, if you are really proud and pedestrian.

Oh, and if you are an instagrammer, you can follow my random stuff.  I'm under geoph_mc

well poopy pants....

so port side has taken a turn for the wurst.  The 1685 Davie location will no longer be a tattoo shop after september.  next week.  Despite all the crap that has transpired and will still be ongoing... I am still busy as a bee and am pluggin away at the work.  But as of October 5....

I will be at Sanitary Electric Tattoo Company with Chad Woodley and Dax Brunet.  It's bitter sweet, but I will finally get to work with some dudes who bust out the tattoos and paintings like their lives depended on it and flip shit like the big boys do.  So the future might get a little interesting and I can get my nose back to the grindstone of work... and honeybunches of it.

In this time of transition, it may be best to email me at geoph.a.i@gmail.com if you want to get in touch.  I'm a little slow to respond sometimes, but bare with me.

So bummed about the past... but looking forward to something better in the future.

To make this post seem worth it... here's a couple, starting with trevor's arm

the pirate was so fresh and red that I had to black/gray filter it.  sorry about that.
